We booked a home August 2nd for a trip scheduled Sept 14th. They notified us Sept 8th that they had mistakenly overbooked and our reservation was cancelled. I understand mistakes happen but it should not take 6 weeks to find this mistake. Secondly they did the bare minimum as far as even trying to make up for their mistake. They basically said, "whoops, I know your trip is next week but you can't stay here".
