In the interest of full disclosure we stopped in on labor day weekend which I'm sure is a very busy time. The food we did get was not bad, 4 stars because my brother said the wings were great. The rest of the food was fine but nothing to write home about. I have a feeling it's better when there isn't a tremendous rush. What I take up issue with is the online ordering/tab system. Food is decent but other areas are lacking. I’ve eaten here twice and both times the wait times are horrendous. Both times it was maybe 60% capacity (both times about 1.5 hour wait) The second time I ate here they said they gave our order to someone else so they had to remake it. When the order came out the wings was so hot we couldn’t even eat them (we ordered them plain no sauce). But overall the atmosphere is nice and food is decent.
Beach Bear Coastal was SO good, we will absolutely be back! We went on a holiday weekend (we live in the area, so we know how packed it gets around here), and yes, the food took a little while to come out but it was so worth it. Plus they’ve got signs right on the table letting you know it’s a scratch kitchen and there might be a wait, so no surprises there. We had a terrible experience at Beach Bear Coastal yesterday, 9/5/2026. We had to knock on the door around 2:10 PM just to see if they were open. The sign outside stated that they opened at 2:00 PM, and we had specifically come to watch the UGA game after seeing a college football watch party advertised on their social media. Hour and 30 minutes before we even got our meal. It took 30 minutes to even get two sweet teas. And when we got them, they were sour hour 20 minutes we got chips and salsa. We got there at 7:10 by 830. We got our food and they were closing at nine and they were making an announcement about. We are closing at nine. We also noticed that two tables to our left.
