While BCN homes have literally built up Lyon Village, Arlington and operate in our community, the owners do not donate a cent to public school fundraisers in their community despite numerous requests. Considering the margins they make from families in the community you would think a small donation to the schools in the area would be readily forthcoming. Please consider this when choosing home builders. Are they really invested in the community? It
BCN Homes's approach to development disregards community and place and destroys neighborhood character. From what we have experienced in our Arlington neighborhood, their M.O. is to tear down modest, solid homes instead of revitalizing them with a good renovation. They completely clear and level the lot, indiscriminately cutting down large, healthy shade trees. They build unreasonably large homes (5000++ square feet) that are, in my opinion, sterile and unattractive.
