New billing practice warning! BCH has recently started a new billing practice similar to what used to happen before the surprise billing law came into effect and prevented facilities from ripping off patients. While in network they are now billing a second fee (facilities) on top of the doctor’s or lab fee. This is typically 10x higher than the usual fee. For example, we had an ultrasound done - in network. The cost? $595. The cost at all other facilities was $40-90. We are warning all we can on this to avoid paying enormous... read more
