I waited 2 hours for BCAA roadside assistance on the side of highway 1 for these guys to come and they were un able to tow me. I had a truck with a camper in the bed and kayaks on top. They refused to pull me by my axle, even if i pulled my driveshaft, they had no idea how tall my truck would make them on top of the deck. I knew I would at least have to take the Kayaks down so i did but the driver wanted to just load it and go. We stopped to pick up groceries& upon returning found our battery was dead! Called BCAA & was told someone would be there in 40 minutes, it was 27c outside! Within 5 minutes Parksville Towing pulled up & gave us a jump. What a friendly & courteous driver,said we definitely need a new battery! Thank goodness for BCAA,would never go anywhere without them!
Was told 30mins w/in a 3hr period waiting for BCAA the call center just keeps saying "we understand" B.S. they're not left hanging on the side of the road, called a cab company and they showed up in 20mins w gas 2mins after waiting for BCAA tipped the cab $40 for efficiency
Save your money on a membership, just pay for a regular tow truck if you break down or have locked your keys in your car. I will not be renewing my membership and any BCAA rep on here asking for forgiveness can save their key strokes, don't bother reaching out to me. The dispatchers have repeatedly lied today about the arrival time of their technician. I was quoted no longer than 2 hours for assistance.
