Took over 2 weeks to schedule a pre-intake screening. Person who was supposed to call me was late in calling me and I had to call them. Information you provide is accessible to any Fraser Health employee. Lack of confidentiality.
If I could I would give no star. The staffs are not responsible, I specifically asked to meet dr Kevin Wong for I met him 3 times before but after almost one year and confirming one week before my appointment, I went there and they told me you were not scheduled !!!! My point is to dr. Wong !! How dare you!!! How you could be irresponsible about your patient with high levels of depression and anxiety!!!! If you want help with substance use, this place actually can be helpful. Everything else? Don’t even bother. I’ve been trying to get to see a psychiatrist for 3 years and I’m still waiting. The wait lists are a mile long and the exclusion criteria is idiotic at best. If you have severe problems or complex problems or suspect you do, this is not the place. Spend your energy looking somewhere else. Also dr Lee? Stay away, I’ve overheard him say some pretty horrible things about patients when I was in hospital.
Was told to call this place for a file transfer and homeshare request, called it but pointless because this place couldn't do anything over the phone, I'm scratching my head now. As for what others say about getting referred here, If you are in Vancouver better off getting any therapy at the Steps services for mental health, I have an awesome counselor there and therapy is amazing there, never go here after hearing the bad the clients referred get treated here by people who have no long term experience that work the field.
