I didn’t get his name but I had a racially charged and unprofessional interaction with an EMS individual collecting a resident today. His comments to myself and my colleague were inappropriate and irrelevant to patient care. I feel like I needed to comment now, for that it wasn’t my first time that EMS in Vernon got way too rude. I’m surprised to hear the same stories from my colleagues too :(

I went by ambulance to the hospital yesterday home last night. Want to thank for the great 👍 care I was given by Darlene Klausen and her partner Sue. Exceptional service they went up and beyond. Thank you both so much for everything.
This particular paramedic was NOT the paramedic who was associated with my trip to the Vernon Jubilee Hospital but rather with her assistance in the ER waiting room. Her name is Darlene. I had already been triaged and was waiting alone on a stretcher to be seen. I was in severe pain from a fall and needed some liquid to take anti-seizure meds, and I needed to use the bathroom facilities.
