A paramedic did an emergency assessment while I was in intense agony and vomiting I was to stubborn to go to the hospital as she strongly recommend and I can honestly say without any doubt I will never question a paramedic when they strongly recommend that you get to the hospital, she was absolutely amazing at her job!
I fell and broke my hip in the early evening of June 11th (2025). The pain was excruciating; my partner called 911. The ambulance crew, Keagan, Max and Gabe arrived a bit late because they were driving from Penticton and apologized for taking so long to get to Summerland. It wasn't for an emergency but I just wanted to bring some cupcakes for them, sadly I don't remember their names, but they were the sweetest ever. They gave me a tour, showed me their truck and equipment, and when i mentioned that i want to become a paramedic myself we just talked for a while after and they gave me some really awesome advice. Overall an awesome experience and if I was in an energency situation I would trust them with my life.
