Had the pleasure of working with Bazis. As a real estate development company, their modern designs, top-tier amenities, and thoughtful planning created vibrant, livable spaces. I especially appreciate their transparency throughout the process, making the pre-construction purchase smooth and stress-free.
1 Yorkville is very poorly designed and built. I’ve been in many different condos in Toronto and am shocked at how poor the space planning is. It’s so obvious that the developer (Bazis) tried to optimize the usage of the space for profits instead of making a building that is enjoyable to live in. The hallways are cavernous and feel claustrophobic on the amenity level and even on the ground floor/lobby. Surprised it was approved by the city of Toronto to be honest…
My Fiance purchased pre-con with Bazis - big mistake. She is familiar with the Architect here at Bazis who was instrumental in the design of 1 Yorkville. Looks good on paper. Not so sure about the actual building. Did they lose common sense when they designed the washroom? And the elevators how are they so tiny? And the gym. What an embarassing gym no wonder 10 new gyms are opening up in the area. Several years later our tenant left and we are looking around the building and it is a complete disaster. Awful construction quality. No care in the world about what they build and they get away with it due to the current Toronto market. Save yourself headaches and go with more reputable builders. UPDATE: The builder asked to get contacted but has not provided any contact details.
From someone who lived at 1 Yorkville, terrible company. So many failings. Avoid.
