Went to Marla's Bakery for Baso's Saturday pop-up for the first time. Got there around 5. So many items on the menu were amazing. We tried pretty much everything. The Rice balls and spicy rice cakes were phenomenal. I spoke to one of the owner, Shawm. He was friendly & enthusiastic, and really upped the vibe & atmosphere. And yeah I would absolutely go here again and recommend this to everybody.

We heard about this place and decided to give it a shot. Absolutely charming, unpretentious, welcoming — and super dialed in food. Bold but balanced dishes. The old location might have burnt down but the food is still on fire. The outdoor seating is mellow and informal but thematic of Chinese street food (guessing that’s the aesthetic). Inside has a food counter mixing front of house and back of house contexts, a very friendly staff.

The service was awesome! The food, for me, was underwhelming. Aside from the sauce and chili crisp on the side, most of the food was not seasoned. No salt, no pepper, nada. The exception to this was the dumplings, which were tasty. Based off the stellar reviews, I definitely expected more.
