After seeing 4 different Pulmonologists over the years, including a doctor from the nationally known Lahey Clinic, I finally found Dr Gurung who looked at the whole picture from childhood on. He spent a lot of time with me and didn't rush me out of the office. And, he calls me back himself, which is important in case I forget to ask the nurse-i can ask him directly
It is hard to find words to describe the level of care and compassion shown to me and my husband. Not only is it frightening to possibly face cancer and the treatments that come with it, it is more frightening to have a mental illness and work with medical professionals that lack understanding or interest in protecting your mind as well.Dr. Hehn is one of the few that demonstrated genuine understanding about the need to protect my mind.
