Did not take the time to look for other reasons behind my chest pain. Because I did not have blocked arteries they called it stress induced cardiomyopathy. After receiving a second opinion, I was diagnosed with coronary microvascular disease and placed on helpful medication.
If you’re a woman, especially a young woman, do not go to Baystate Cardiology. Your health concerns will be minimized, delayed, and ultimately dismissed. I was referred in August for serious cardiac symptoms and it took until March to even be seen. When I finally got in, I was brushed off with canned advice: “Don’t drink alcohol, limit caffeine.” I don’t drink either. I have not been able to return to work due to lack of care from doc to fill out my light duty paperwork. Was supposed to return to work today, but even though I brought last week, doctor still has not filled out paperwork my job requires for light duty. Shaking my head at the fact you want my business, but if I can't afford it due to no paycheck, you are not going to receive it. Kudos to making it apparent that only the doctors matter.
