This charming and cozy little hotel in Santa Monica is close to the beach (only about a block) and is a perfect retreat whether you are from out of town or an Angeleno looking for a quick getaway. Many of the rooms at the Bayside Hotel overlook the ocean and all of the rooms feature kitchenettes. This is a great hideaway: go for the weekend, take some food to cook, and pretend the outside world does not exist. Except for the ocean, of course.

Bayside Hotel This place is very nice and very clean. It is nothing special from the outside and the rooms are not amazing but it is cheap ($80 for smallest room) close to the beach (but a 5min walk to the Pier even though it seems close) and near Shutters so you just might see Britney Spears or Jennifer Aniston ;) Rooms are clean and for a bit more you can get a large room and an ocean view. Don't expect anything great though, if you want a romantic time go somewhere else!
