I’ve been wanting to try Bayou Deli for a long time, and the restaurant itself is adorable - very clean, cute, and welcoming. I also see so many great reviews of their hot sandwiches, I guess just ordered the wrong thing. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich with coleslaw. The menu describes the chicken salad as having been “made famous at Sunrise Cookies in Gloster, LA,” which honestly influenced my choice. Every sandwich is an absolute banger.
Awesome place for a great sandwich. Felt comfortable as soon as I walked in the door was greeted by the lady taking orders at the counter. They have a yummy & filling meatball sandwich. The soft bun held up to the sauce & cheese, but it wasn't so big that there was more bread than filling. I would post a Pic but I gobbled it up too fast.
Great food, no long wait for carry-out orders, and friendly, sweet team.
