Had Robotic Hernia Repair surgery on 3 hernias on January 3rd. From the moment we arrived everything went smooth. Check in was easy peasy. Right to a room to prep for surgery. The nurses were fabulous worked well together kept me at ease. Next up Anastasia kudos to this team never missed a beat from start to finish. OR techs, nurses attending, all worked together with my wonderful surgeon Dr. Abanathy. The Recovery area was easy took care of my pain management without delays. Step down went smooth and discharge. Long lag time from nuclear lab to surgery , nearly 9 hours waiting until surgery. Surgeon ran behind but rarely did anyone come in and give me updates. Dr. Asked after all that waiting if I wanted to reschedule surgery that I have had scheduled for months. The people are excellent and very nice and excellent surgeons but need to work on logistics and scheduling.
Check in was smooth but was in the room waiting for my family member to come out of surgery for 3 hours before anyone checked on me. Ur not allowed to leave the patients room once they take them back to surgery & I quickly ran out of the water I brought with me. They have a stand in the lobby that u can buy snacks & drinks from, but the hours of operation aren't posted & by the time someone came to update me, it was closed. Grateful to the nurse that filled my water bottle up
