Dad had surgery and I was told I would be texted HOURLY to keep me updated. In the 5 hours surgery took, I got 1 text telling me surgery started and 1 telling me he was in recovery and a nurse was on her way to talk to me. NO ONE ever came to talk to me. I had to call, and call and CALL to get any update. While sitting in the waiting room for 12 hours, on floor 5 of the north tower, the fire alarm kept repeatedly going off, locking us in the waiting area with no access to stairs and elevators locked down. Had Robotic Hernia Repair surgery on 3 hernias on January 3rd. From the moment we arrived everything went smooth. Check in was easy peasy. Right to a room to prep for surgery. The nurses were fabulous worked well together kept me at ease. Next up Anastasia kudos to this team never missed a beat from start to finish. OR techs, nurses attending, all worked together with my wonderful surgeon Dr. Abanathy. The Recovery area was easy took care of my pain management without delays. Step down went smooth and discharge.
