Friendly staff and good location. Rooms are not very private, paper thin walls and can hear everything. Not as restful as anticipated.

Queenslanders are renowned for their hospitality, and the management and staff here were a reflection. Reminded me a little of Bali when it was an unspoilt island paradise. My wife and I immediately felt comfortable. Our room was spick and span, with all the mod cons you would want. The food at the restaurant and cafe was excellent - Balinese style and all! Very good value. A simple, basic, comfortable hotel for travellers who plan to be out and about most of the time. Suited us perfectly. Just a 5 minute walk to the lovely waterfront walk, and from there just another gorgeous 20 minute walk to the main stretch of the waterfront which has loads of bars, restaurants, cafes, parks and garden with bbq facilities and playgrounds
