We stayed peak season last minute booking. The location makes this stay well worth it. Off street secure parking, saves you plenty now BB is metered parking. Rooms were neat and tidy, although had to request towel change, as well new (not half empty) shower gel. Would definitely recommend and stay again. So since we last stated here at Bay Motel another Bar called No Name Bay Lane has opened up right at the back of Bay Motel. Very noisy and is open until midnight. Nice rooms and the hotel was in a great location but the noise late at night from a bar/night club was too much and made our stay in enjoyable. Don't stay here if you value peace and quiet at night.
This place was cheap enough, clean, and the reception staff were v friendly. A small kitchen in the room with everything you’d need. The room was quiet at night (which I didn’t expect because of its location right in the thick of everything. ) The rooms all face onto a driveway/ wall which meant that it was dark and cool in the morning - and hence I got a good sleep. No complaints here and the place was secure with locked gates to the property at night. Good value and a good , well run little place
Stayed overnight on Sept 26, 2025. At around 11pm the room next to us we started hearing loud noises, banging of doors and windows a lot of times. The couple were fighting and screaming at each other. The guy was locked outside and the woman won’t let him in. Our sleep was disrupted. I felt unsafe and instead of having our last night in Byron Bay memorable we ended up with Police at midnight sorting the couple near our room. I won’t recommend this Motel to anyone, no one from reception we can call for help. Not a good place ... read more
We had a fantastic stay at Bay Beach Motel! Everything was clean, tidy, and wonderfully quiet – perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location couldn't be better, just a short stroll to both the beach and the heart of town. A special shoutout to Sylvie at reception – she truly went above and beyond! Her warm smile and friendly greeting made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. She even posted back an item we accidentally left behind, which we were so grateful for.
