All of the positive reviews seem to be over 4 years ago. The most recent are within the year and both are 1&2 stars poor reviews. I had a great experience when I met with Tom and his team. I dropped off my taxes a month ago. I called one week ago to find out the status of my taxes. I spoke with a receptionist and I was calling back later by Tom. I paid Bay Area Tax Specialists for my 2022 taxes but my transcript was never submitted to the IRS resulting in $810 of penalties and late fees. I understand mistakes happen and had hopes that this was going to be fixed. I’ve emailed and called multiple times. Most of my attempts to reach Tom have been ignored as he doesn’t return my calls. This was my first time here and based off previous positive reviews I decided to give it a shot. I had a great experience while I was there in person getting my taxes filed. It was a low fee for filing which I thought was great on top of the fact that I strongly support small businesses. However after a month of not having received my taxes I decided to check on my paperwork. It said, “refund to be received by check”. I did not agree to this method of payment.
