Edit 2025: I was so sad when I called his office and found out he retired. :( I've seen 1 doctor since and wasn't impressed. The search continues. I see Dr. Mines for Uveitis, and I have to say he is awesome! He listens to my concerns, and is patient and understanding even when I am not good at being a patient! I highly recommend him. His offices do get busy though, go early if you can.
Terrible doctor - read about him thoroughly. Horrible failure rates. Other than that nice demeanor he can cost you your eye /vision. Mike sure to ask him if there is risk of severe pain. He didn’t tell me and live with horrible pain everyday. Save your eye go anywhere else.
Dr. Mines has been extremely helpful and interested in improving my ARMD. He has a RARE combination of skill, expertise, interest, and sense of humor. He is one-of-a-kind. YES!!!

He operated on my eye and cut too deep and I now have no center vision in my left eye. What made it even worse was when I asked him why all I now saw was a big black blob. He lied to me-and told me it was blood and would clear uo. I went back several times and he kept maki g excuses. Finally I confronted him and he denied it, said it would get well. I went to st. Lukes and tgey showed me what he did wrong. He cut too deeply and permanently damaged my eye.
