This review is to help out the overall rating of Bay Area. The majority of the low ratings found here are based in a fundamental misunderstanding of therapy. For all intents and purposes, the therapists are independent contractors and vary widely in their methods. A particular therapist's methods might work wonders for one person, but might not be as ideal for another. I’m surprised by the low ratings for this organization, as they’ve been incredibly helpful to my son and me. My sister, a middle school licensed social worker, recommended their group therapy for my son’s social anxiety, and his first visit was life-changing—he felt safe, accepted and found his community. After a family trauma, he began individual therapy. I eventually sought individual therapy with a different therapist. Six months later, they started a supportive mom’s group. I had a scheduled appointment for my 4-year-old son and arrived 10 minutes early. I waited 30 minutes and the therapist, Elise Manresa, simply didn't show up. I lost a day of work, my son missed school, and it was a complete lack of professionalism. Tampa unit.

May help most kids. But didn't help my autism daughter. But helps with my niece who's ADHD and odd. Could of suggest a different doc for services but choose to kick her out for behavior issues which is what this practice is for. So.....
