Bauer Pottery is awesome! Both the original pre 1963 and the new Bauer 2000 with much safer glazes. I love their timeless California style and have a huge collection of the prewar goods, and I just wanted to balance out the ridiculous "one star" review given by someone who was disappointed that the factory was closed to the public. Closed for safety of all- workers and customers. I only wish I were smart enough to buy the Bauer IP and run with it like this company. Kudos!
My wife and I were staying at a hotel 5 min from the factory. Read a story about the owner in the local paper. Rushed over to take a look and wanted to buy some items. Too bad that the factory, though quite clean and organized, was not open to the public. Disappointing.
