The apartments here are visually appealing. The finishes are reasonably polished (though appliances really should be nicer, given the monthly rent.) Maintenance is responsive. Dogs are allowed and welcome. The neighborhood is pleasant and quiet. Unfortunately, there is a major problem: the floors are so thin that you can hear EVERYTHING going on in the apartment above you. Updated Review: In the year since writing my first review, the building has lost a lot of its original appeal. It is still owned by Geis but isn't on their website, so it seems the building is no longer a priority to the company. Cars are broken into and stolen all summer long and residents are told that nothing can be done because the lot is public - however, we pay a pretty high fee for those unsecured spots. I strongly advise against considering this complex as a place to call home. The absence of security measures, the alarming frequency of break-ins (which management hides and does not inform residents of which is the definition of negligence), and the deceitful practice of paid five-star reviews all contribute to an environment that is far from the sanctuary it claims to be.
