From the perspective of someone who has been here for 3 years, BPL is a great place to live. The units are modern, open and full of natural light with the glass sliding doors that open up to the patios. At least half the units have some view of the lake. Melissa and Mike on the management team are very responsive and great people. My dog thrived in this building with the other neighbor dogs. I recently toured with Rose, and I absolutely loved the units I saw. Management was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and informative throughout the entire visit. I’m genuinely excited and can’t wait to move into my new apartment!
Overall a great place
Battery Park Lofts continues to experience routine car break-ins and vandalism. These incidents occur on a monthly basis and typically impact 5-10 vehicles in and around the property when they occur. My vehicle has personally been broken into 3 times in 3 years. Each of these incidents has been relayed to building management by myself and others who have suffered similar damage. This place is freakin *cheap*. Poorly built, with terrible noise issues; poor insulation, such that bugs get in constantly; poorly maintained, such that the single (!!!) elevator for five floors is constantly out of service. No parking included, even in the outside area where cars routinely get broken into. And a little scam whereby a single subtle reminder about renewing your lease is deliberately underplayed so the "management" company can invoke an obscure provision of your lease allowing them to impose a $500/month penal... read more
