We had an amazing time kayaking the Battenkill River on Labor Day with Battenkill Valley Outdoors. This company felt like the perfect combination of family-owned personalization with professional communication and ease of booking. Don and Lisa and their two dogs were such a pleasure and went above and beyond to make our day special including giving us tips for other activities in the area and giving us history of their time guiding folks on the river. My adventure buddy and I went tubing today with BVO and we had a marvelous time. Don and Lisa are friendly and knowledgeable, and all of the staff we encountered happily shared lots of information about the area, what to expect, and river conditions. The river is beautiful and clean and not crowded. Despite being a Saturday we did have some stretches completely to ourselves. The owners and staff were amazing - so hospitable, knowledgeable, and totally relaxed. We took their recommendation to check out The Depot in nearby Cambridge after our float and am so glad we did! Will definitely be back!

Tubing down the river was so fun, the staff was super friendly and personable. The whole experience was good even with the water level being lower the day of our reservation.

We had a fantastic time kayaking last week! What a relaxing and fun adventure! The river is calm, and moves you forward without having to work hard. We saw a mink! The staff was accommodating and made the whole experience smooth. We felt very well taken care of.
