I have never written a review for a mechanic. After almost a month of not being able to reverse and the first mechanic (very very close to my work) told me $2000 for a new transmission. A parent at the gym told me to take it to her husband's place Batten Automotive. John's first instinct was to really find the problem and do a series of diagnostics, not just charge me thousands and hopefully that fixes it. A $2 fuse later and I'm able to reverse! Almost 15 years ago is when i first experienced a act of kindness and true customer service. John Batten a MASTER ASE MECHANIC showed me love working on my '83 Nissan Sentra. and now on 8/28/17 his staff did me right again with a wheel hub assembly. Could I say anthing bad? Yes but that would be a lie....Thumbs up to you and your staff at Batten automotive
This place is top notch I don't go any where else
There were a few roadbumps in getting my car fixed at Batten Automotive (the diagnosis was a little difficult because it was a coolant leak and was hard to tell what all was causing problems) but I have never received such great service from another mechanic. They were honest, and did their best to give us the fairest price and service in town. Compared to everyone else in Ocala that we've experienced, Batten Automotive is the best, they have earned a customer for life and I will recommend them to anyone who needs their car ... read more
I stopped in to get a price on a minor repair after pricing parts myself. The parts were just over $100, the job if on a lift takes 45-50 mins.... There hourly rate is $95, which is pretty high.... I was quoted $293.00. Most shops are between 65 to 80 per hr., And charge/bill by the quarter hour, obviously this place charges you for a full hour even its 20 minutes or 45 minutes.....
