I honestly don't understand how different my experience has been from some of these other reviews... I have nothing but positive to say about my experiences so far though! She's the best counselor I've seen yet. Very good listener and great feedback. She focuses a lot on the science of the brain. Would highly recommend.
Repeatedly called to discuss some issues with my duaghter and to talk about available options.. no answer.. went in to try and discuss the availability of my duaghter being able to talk with her more often and about the current situation..... was rushed out the door with hostility only for her to admit that she didn't even have another client in the building yet. You can explain your financial situation to her and give her your insurance then she won't tell you she's charged extra for the initial visit even though she was talking to someone for the first 30 minutes of the session. Got a letter in the mail three sessions later with a sum bill. She never mentioned anything in person. If you don't need a relationship built on trust she is good I guess
Janelle had an office down here in Lawrenceburg in the past. I saw her after I was placed in foster care. She told me as a 10 year old that I'd "never amount to anything in life." I'd STRONGLY advise against taking a vulnerable child to see Janelle.
