I had an initial appointment with Dr. Batres at AZ Heart Doctor in Mesa. The appointment itself was scheduled quickly, and I will say that the medical assistant who performed my EKG was excellent. She was professional, confident, kind, and seemed very competent. Dr. Batres was also pleasant during the visit and did answer my questions. I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism and communication around timeliness here. I arrived on time for my appointment, only to be left in an exam room for over an hour. No one checked in on me or offered an update. I eventually had to leave the room just to ensure I hadn't been forgotten. When I asked, I was given a generic excuse by the front desk about the doctor "reviewing my paperwork" which did not make sense given how minimal the paperwork actually was, and I actually saw the doctor walk into another room w... read more
No regard for people’s time, I have had 3 appointments and have had to wait an hour plus past appointment time to be seen.
Very dissatisfied with this office and its staff. My mother was sent home with a heart monitor, but the device would not turn on. I called the office three separate times and left voicemail messages requesting assistance, yet no one returned my calls. As a result, we are now heading into the weekend without a working monitor, and an important medical test may not be completed as scheduled. I used to frequent this cardiologist and was regularly seeing Dr. Batres. Everything was pretty good- he was attentive and caring. Near the end of my visits they switched doctors on me and I do not know this guys name. Due to having a major heart related incident that landed me in ER almost a week ago- I came back to this office. I was given the same unknown doctor and received very little information on what to do.
