Not all USB ports worked, Locks didn't work well either. Housekeeping broke my favorite cologne bottle. I raised the issue thrice and was told to expect a call from the manager: no call yet.
Since the hotel has been renovated, it is likely the best place to stay in the Baton Rouge area. However, my most recent visit was a sheer demonstration of poor service. The room did not have a hair dryer and for three days my request to provide was ignored, despite repeated promises.
Never staying here again. 1. The website says parking is free but you have to pay $12 per day to park in a crappy parking lot with no security. It's a shady area too - did not feel safe. 2. Only 1 of the outlets and USB ports in our room worked. That's just ridiculous and I found out our friends in other rooms had the same problem. Clearly things are not maintained. This has been the worst visit to any Marriott ever. The first couple of nights that we were here, we had to listen to baseball players running up and down the halls. We could understand that a little, due to them being young children. A couple of nights it did get better. Last night and tonight have been unbearable. The hotel is having some sort of Y (teenage or college age) convention. The halls have been lined with these kids all evening.
