Older hotel. The welcoming did not feel very welcomed. The rooms looked dated with dark color wood everywhere and to top it off They removed all warm carpeting amd replaced ot with cold same dark color laminated floors. Small TV for the size of the room. And you have to pay extra to park on their regular non covered nor protected lot.
My experience at the Marriott in Baton Rouge was absolutely horrible. The cleanliness was unacceptable. I found food debris under the bed sheets in my first room, room 1209, so I requested a room change. I was moved to room 1206, and at first everything seemed fine. However, once I went to bed, I found French fries underneath the sheets. I honestly don’t understand what is going on with the housekeeping at this Marriott, but the level of cleanliness is extremely disappointing. From the beautiful, well-maintained property to the clean, comfortable rooms and inviting common areas, everything made our visit feel easy and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay at the Baton Rouge Marriott! The hotel was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with inviting common areas and watch the LSU and Saints games in the lobby and restaurant was a plus. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and accommodating. We also enjoyed spending time at the restaurant and bar.
