One Star Our experience at this hospital was extremely frustrating and upsetting, especially considering that I was there with my autistic daughter, who relies on me as her safe person during stressful and unfamiliar situations. I also have a service dog, and from the moment we arrived, I was repeatedly questioned about him by different Public Safety officers. This is the worst hospital in the United States First, you have admin people at the front window to the ER gatekeeping vital emergency services well also diagnosing patients that impedes care and flow. You should not accuse people of being an alcohol alcoholic when they’ve just been throwing up all day. My husband had an extremely horrific IBS/IBD flare on our way home to Lafayette when I had to get off I-10 and I found this ER/hospital. I didn't know where in BR I was but I am glad we found it. The triage nurse was a bit rough initially with her flat attitude but the ER doctor (His last name begins with an R)- oh my goodness! He provided quick and mazing care!!! What a kind, and compassionate man. He needs to be cloned. He did everything RIGHT to get my husband's pain under control in order to get the necessary tests done.... read more
