I have been using Bates Troy for years. Their cleaning and tailoring services have been good and get the work done in a reasonable time.
Came in to drop off my coats and designer bag for cleaning—only to find out they don’t clean coats and don’t fix zippers. Cool, whatever. But then the girl at the front had the nerve to ask if my bag was real… in front of another customer. Excuse me? Of course it’s real. Why would you even ask that—especially loud enough for others to hear? Then to make it worse, the white man behind me was handed a card for the seamstress who wasn’t there. Paid 25 dollars to clean my wool coat. Looks like it wasn’t even attempted to be cleaned. Should’ve looked into the reviews because there was still dog hair and car salt stains from cleaning off my truck. Smells no different as well. Feels like I’ve been swindled. Steer clear if you don’t wanna waste time or money. It’s a shame because a very nice lady talked to me regarding leather maintenance and that was the best experience of my transaction. Too bad it will be the last.
