Bates Nut Farm started with walnuts, but now purchases nuts from all over the world. Pistachios, pecans, cashews, peanuts, pignolias, sunflower seeds and much more can be purchased on the farm. The nuts come raw, roasted, some spiced up and unsalted. To ensure quality and freshness we roast and package our nuts on the farm. The Bates family takes pride in providing a quality product at a fair price. It's part of the tradition.

Had a lovely time at the pumpkin patch on opening weekend and yesterday Sunday Oct. 2. Took my kids friendly family place to spend time. Enjoyed the huge pumpkins and delicious food.
I've been going to Bates for years.. however, yesterday was the PITS! Waited in line an hour & a half on the road in before we got to the parking lot. The place was packed at 4:00, and a trash pit! Why can't people throw their trash in a can that's 10 ft from the table??? The pigs were cleaner! The store was packed and really hot & stuffy inside. A lot of broken pumpkins too. If I go next year, it will be during the week!!!
Then they have events, even to spend a quiet time with family and feed the animals.
Yesterday was our first time going , and we loved it . A real pumpkin patch, even my 15 year old son had fun. Hay ride was cool and the hay maze fun. My daughter loved feeding the animal specially the turkeys and peacocks. Now I can't wait to go back in December:)
