If the fair you’re attending has Bates Bros in charge of rides don’t bother, there’s other fairs drive an hr and save the hassle. The employees lack reading skills or politeness and the time I spent standing in multiple lines multiple places to be able redeem my prepaid pass would have been better spent driving toward a fair with more than a handful of somewhat maintained rides. UPDATE***- I called the company and was told they would call me back to address the issue. I never heard back. I tried reaching out over Facebook. No response. And no response to this review. These people clearly do not care about safety- or the lack of it. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN ON THESE DEATH TRAP RIDES RAN BY CARELESS AND DISTRACTED OPERATORS. - this is not a new issue. My 7 year old daughter was almost thrown from the twister ride on the last day of the Medina county fair. the man operating the ride was on his phone and started the ride without lowering her lap bar. I was screaming and banging on the side of the operators booth to get his attention before the ride was stopped. By the time I was able to get his attention the ride was already spinning extremely fast. My daughter had wrapped herself around the closest handle she could reach and was holding on for dear life. Poor management. Wouldnt let my child ride at the medina county fair even after he rode the ride 4 times prior to machine operator change. Operator stated we would get a refund. Rude "manager" at the ticket booth refused to refund. Stated ride operator was doing his job but clearly if refunds are not allowed he shouldnt have stated they would.
