Used to love this place and always got the Beet, Arugala, Bleu Cheese Salad. Haven’t eaten here for a year, but apparently they changed the recipe and substituted the bleu cheese with goat cheese (which I am not a fan of at all). Perhaps I should have looked at the description more closely, but I didn’t think to since I had ordered this at least 10 times in the past. Really wanted to love Batata, they have some great menu options - but, have found the consistency is not always there and they (really) need to be more careful with their prep procedures as we found a large piece of cut plastic in our wrap, that after rinsing off appears to be part of a condiment container.
Great vegan opportunities
I used to love Batata and still kind of do love their food but I will never come back. On 5/26, I ordered the Zen burger after coming back from the hospital and giving birth to my son a few days earlier. Looking for a burger, I picked the Zen burger which was not listed as having walnuts. I even called the restaurant to confirm this burger was nut free.
