Bata Bus in Traverse city is not very reliable and definitely unsafe. I am over 65, and since I need to use the bus often, I learned the hard way that in order to get anywhere in traverse city you have to set your pick up time at least 1 hour before the time you need to be there. And even then they manage to make me late a lot! So are they reliable? No they are not reliable. Most of the time, I’m the only one on the bus when they do finally decide to pick me up. My husband and I came into Suttons Bay on a sailboat. We needed to get to the urgent care and then the hospital for an ultra sound in Traverse City. All of the staff and bus drivers were very helpful getting us on the right buses at the right time. The cost was more than reasonable
