In 2020, my husband could no longer lift his arm. He saw many doctors in Texas. One thought he had a brain tumor. He went to a doctor who had heard Dr. Elhassan present at a conference. This doctor in Texas suggested my husband consider going to the Mayo Clinic to see Dr. Elhassan. (Dr. Elhassan relocated to Boston that year). At his appointment, my husband found out that Dr. Elhassan was the surgeon who created/developed the surgery that he needed. Wow! The surgery (scapulothoracic fusion) was done in Boston (October 2020).... read more

I've had a total of 7 shoulder surgeries. Dr elhassan did two of them while at the Mayo Clinic. Other surgeons gave up but Dr. B took me on and gave me a functional arm. He really is one of a kind. I can't say enough about how good and talented he is. Run don't walk to him if you have a shoulder problem.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Elhassan! I have been dealing with a work comp injury for years. After things weren't working out with Dr's where I live, I was permitted to go see Dr Elhassan. Others, told Dr Elhassan nothing could be done for me. Thank goodness Dr Elhassan listened to ME, not the others. I even had a Dr tell me my shoulder motion was a learned behavior. After years of sharp, burning pain in my dominant shoulder when I would move it, I am pain free. Even my physical therapists are impressed how I'm... read more

After going from Dr to Dr about my chronic shoulder pain and getting no answers I was losing hope ….. until I found Dr Elhassan and everything changed. He couldn’t find answers on an mri and instead of sending me away he listened to me and my symptoms and trusted me enough to do an exploratory surgery in which he found the existing problem. Words cannot describe how good of a Dr and person he is , absolutely unbelievable.
