On 6-2-25 Dr. Elhassan resected my left Sterno-Clavicular joint and added in a tendon for cushion (the Calamri method that he created). I flew up to Boston from the Atlanta area, because another surgeon referred him. I searched locally for quite a while, but I couldn’t find anyone in my area who was willing to help. Dr Elhassan saved my arm if not my life. After 3 surgeries in Florida, my right dominate arm was severely compromised and full of infection. With just one visit, I finally had hope. After he fully explained my options, a two step procedure was agreed upon. First surgery was to remove the infected implant, perform a muscle transfer and insert an antibiotic spacer.
