We hosted our wedding reception here and it was absolutely incredible. Alondra the chef cooked an amazing multi-course meal with clam chowder, salad, steak and lobster, and lemon sorbet for dessert. The staff were able to reconfigure the dining room to fit our 30 person party and we had the best time. The food was incredible, as were the wait staff. We thought we booked a room at Ullikana Inn, but only to find out upon arrival that it is the Bass Cottage Inn that was next to it. Stayed at Ullikana a few years back and loved it. The room we had at Bass is a bit larger, and equally comfortable and nice inside. Water pressure is somehow low but ok. The heater needed for Oct night in ME (apparently same unit as A/C) was not on and when I tried it did not work. Found out later from the site manager, the controller cover can be slide down to make adjustment but there was no c... read more

I had a great experience with my 2 night stay here. The staff is very friendly, the room was clean, spacious, and extremely comfortable! It is also in a great location right in the heart of Bar Harbor. There is also delicious breakfast served every morning. I would definitely stay here again, and I highly recommend it. Thank you Bass Cottage Inn!!
