Dr. O’Brien is a diligent and hardworking professional whom I find highly trustworthy. I would confidently recommend him to others.
When attending this clinic yesterday, I was surprised at the cost: $475 for a 45min appointment (which was actually 30mins). You had to pay in advance or the appointment was cancelled. It felt like a ransom, but as this appointment was important to me and waitlists for paediatricians in Geelong are ridiculous I paid. For full transparency, there is a “jot form” aspect to accepting an appointment, which did not work for me, and the $475 was outlined there. I've been a patient of Dr O'Brien for 8 years and not ONCE has he or the administrative team at Barwon Pediatrics been unprofessional, inconsistent, or unable to assist me. They've always taken the time to clearly explain the requirements of their clinic and attending appointments. Very recently, Nadine has been wonderful in communicating the expectations of patients regarding costs and timelines and has always encouraged me to get in contact if i have any issues.
