EDIT: Block Club Chicago ran an article saying this restaurant’s owner opened a different Italian fast serve restaurant in Fulton Market, and this location has been closed ever since. I can’t believe I’ve never eaten here before. We buy amazing pasta at Pasta Fresh next door and never realized they were connected and co-owned. The pumpkin pasta was next-level amazing! Heavenly appetizers and entrees. BYOW. Will be back, maybe tomorrow.
This place is closed with no explanation or update. So annoying and dismissive of their loyal customers when businesses do this. Very disappointed to see. This was a great place and a staple of what was left of the local Italian American community but it’s upsetting to see how they just shut their doors without any public communication or explanation as to why. Hopefully they come back with further details.

We were initially drawn to this place by its promising vibe, but it turned out to be a major letdown. How can an Italian restaurant, supposedly authentic, not offer carbonara? The pasta dishes were either dry or lacking flavor, and the lasagna, usually a good indicator of quality, used low-grade cheese. The salmon bruschetta did NOT have tomatoes!!!
