I think he is an excellent doctor but totally unreachable as is his practice. You have to leave voicemails and then hope someone gets back to you. I waited almost an hour in a virtual exam room, sent 4 chats hoping to communicate with someone and called the office to get directions. Nothing. It was ridiculous and no way to do business.

Dr. Bartalos is unreachable . This office would rather I suffer for a month rather than get me in for severe abdominal pain. There is absolutely no sense in having any doctor that can't see you when you are in severe pain. Now I get to find a new GI doctor all over again. I originally went to him for follow-up on my UC issues, which went into remission years ago. He insisted I stay on a drug that has the potential to cause kidney and liver damage despite me being asymptomatic for over 3 years.
Dr. Bartalos is a consummate professional; kind and caring, he literally turned my life around after years of mystery. He provided excellent care and his subject matter knowledge is phenomenal; a true expert that managed to quickly identify and fix what many others gastro specialists failed to pinpoint or treat.
I have chosen Dr. Bartalos to address common gastroenterology problems, and recently my first preventive colonoscopy procedure. He is a solid professional, knows what he is doing, and more importantly he is an honest physician. I'm glad I found him since it is truly difficult to find reliable medical professionals in the Kansas City area.
Extremely kind, caring, and seems to be excellent at his profession!
