Thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to Bar Taco. Great food, nice atmosphere and great service. Had to wait an hour but plenty of other places to wander while awaiting your call. Tasty margarita too.
Though it's trendy and can be crowded on weekends, we've found BarTaco a lovely neighborhood spot. Great kids menu, friendly staff, good tequila/margarita options. Also, a nice ceviche, tasty tacos, and salads too. Go during week or early to avoid crowds.
Fun atmosphere. A great place to come for cocktails - especially when its warm outside as it has a nice view of the river. Also serves good tapas.
Great menu of small flavorful tacos and sides (ceviche, great salads, etc). Good guac and fresh drinks w/nice tequila selection. Fun atmosphere w/fire heaters outside. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable.
Fun scene, good food, yummy specialty drinks. Was too chilly to sit on the patio, but it'll definitely be a cool spot once it warms up. Blankets and fire place will help. For a girls lunch for 6, we ordered the large tray and the small tray. This included 15 tacos (very small=two bites) sides and guacamole app. Best deal. We each got a drink or 2 and total was about $28 including tax and tip.
What a fun restaurant. My friend and family have enjoyed several meals. They have great outdoor seating as well ... with fireplaces and blankets. It is fun fun!
I am not a taco purist. Forget a taco devoid of fixings, so I can enjoy the pure flavor of tortilla and meat; I want to drown in a fatty mixture of cheese, guacamole, and then probably some queso sauce. So I was HIGHLY skeptical when I saw that the tacos at BarTaco come plain and unadorned (and this after waiting in line for 40 minutes to get a table!). Always enjoy the experience here! Food is good and the service is fast. I love the ambience and always have a good time. Great to have such a fun spot in the Inman Park neighborhood.
Can I just say "WOW"!? They have the best guacamole. And the atmosphere at this new location in Inman Park is perfect. Mexican tapas. Sister restaurant from the fine folks of Barcelona fame.
