Had an amazing day with Steven and Robyn learning how to make knives. Starting from bit of steel, hammering it into shape, all the way up to the finished product! Lunch was provided with a make yourself toasties and even free beer at the end. Highly recommend if you're passing through!
My partner and I had the best day with steve and robin learning and making knives. Tucked away in a beautiful part of the west coast and freedom camping in town by the beach. The day was full of laughs and easy teachings, everyone there walked away with an awesome hand made knife from scratch and great memories. Nice locally made sheaths available for purchase to house the blade. Fantastic people and well worth a stop in. Cheers robin and steve will definitely be back when were next in your part of the world.
A MUST DO. Robyn and Steven are both epic people and you'll walk away with a beautiful knife and a brilliant experience. Many funny stories and great memories. I'll be doing this again for sure.
Fantastic day with Steven and Robyn. Well run course, excellent banter and the final product is epic. Hands down one of the best one day experiences in NZ. Stevens one liners might be some of the best I’ve ever heard too!
Day at Barrytown Knifemaking and WOW — what an epic experience! From a red-hot chunk of steel to a fully finished knife that I made with my own hands! Super fun, surprisingly doable, and honestly one of the coolest things I’ve done in NZ. Highly recommend if you’re passing through the West Coast!
