Worst first time experience EVER! – We've lived in Rogers Park for 6 years. Every time we would drive down Broadway we would see Barry's Spot. Finally, we to the opportunity to order. We read through all the reviews online, felt confident this would be a good experience. We ordered delivery, one large pizza, estimated delivery time 45 to 60 minutes. 1 hour 45 minutes later the delivery person showed up. decent pizza poor customer service – Last time I was there, eating in their new dining room at 1 pm on a saturday and the lady working the counter comes over and asks me if I'm almost done because she needs to close. I was shocked. overall there pizza is prettty good, there service is poor if not downright offensive, and don't get their cheeseburgers.
WOW, Love that deep dish Pizza – I have tried a lot of different pizza places and this is the most consistent, best tasting deep dish pizza. The current list of top 20 places, I have tried them all. Barry's is the best. It is also the most economical and always arrives hot.
Pretty good pizza at a good price – I'm originally from Philly... I find "deep dish Chicago style" pizza disgusting. The only other kind of pizza Chicago has is thin crust. East coasters know that the best pizza is regular crust Italian style. I ordered from Barry's because it was close by and cheap, and although I had to get the "thin crust", it was pretty good! don't recommend – pizza comes with weird wax paper that holds a layer of grease on top of the pizza. pizza is tasteless. delivery available and inexpensive, but i would not recommend it
