I went to Dr. Barry Shaktman over 7 years ago as he came highly recommended. I was going through significant issues. They had me scheduled to perform surgery. I called them several times to his office to move the surgery date, knowing the amount of agony I was under. Their busy team and Dr. Barry did not move the date. I didn't make it to the surgery date. Dr. Barry Shaktman was my ob for the birth of my 1st child. He was checked out and would spend less than 2 minutes with me. I had Hishimoto's disease and he failed to check my thyroid levels until they were grossly out of range. I later learned that that can cause birth defects. But because he was so dismissive of my concerns, it went unchecked for months. I ended up having to find a new OB in my 7th month.
