Doctor Barry Slitsky is an excellent doctor. He is the type of doctor that makes you feel comfortable when asking questions. I have been his patient for many years. I had test results from my primary doctor that my primary was stumped by & did not have answers. Doctor Slitsky had some thoughts, ran some blood tests & bingo! I was diagnosed. Not good. I went in for my first ever colonoscopy. I went through the procedure , had 6 polyps removed. When I came to, the nurse had issues with me getting my blood pressure to a normal state. I thought nothing of it, and went on my way. For the following three days, I had no bowel movements. The forth day I had one, and along with it came 1/3 of the blood in my body. I had been bleeding internally for three days. I was light headed and incoherent. I went into hypovolemic shock. Almost died.
I have been a patient since 1992. Dr. Slitzky has always taken the time to listen to all my concerns no matter how small. I am still feeling great (at least concerning my PBC) and knowI have received the best care.
