I don’t indulge in bagels often due to my diet, but I’ve always loved a classic cream cheese and Nova lox. I recently decided to take a brief break from my no‑carb routine and treat myself. The bagel itself was enjoyable; however, the portion of lox was noticeably modest. For comparison, I typically use Bruegger’s as a benchmark, as they tend to be more generous with both the size of the bagel and the amount of lox. Overall, it was a good experience, just not quite at the level I’ve come to expect.
This is the second time I’ve been here and both times I’ve had the worst experience. The guy that helped me and my family the second time didn’t welcome us and had his earbuds in while asking us our order. He proceeded to move at the speed of a slug as he broke health code I’m sure by placing all of our bagels straight on the metal counter. The customer service is where this place lacks. When you order an online order and arrive to pick it up they tell you to wait for it as it sits done on the pick up. They will ignore you as you insist its done and proceed to stand awkwardly in front of you trying to ignore you for 10 mins. This has happened on multiple occasions. They don't acknowledge you as you walk in and the attitude to when ordering is so off putting. Never coming here again. Terrible service, rude. No smiles. Barely welcomed us in when we walked through the door. Didn’t cut the sandwiches, when the pictures on the website show the breakfast sandwiches cut in half. I had to do it myself and made a huge mess with a plastic knife. I definitely was not going to ask the employee to cut it for me, as she seemed extremely annoyed to have even served us. Also, employees walking around in headphones is so unprofessional during business hours.
The customer service at the counter was very disappointing. The clerk was not happy about the Surprise bags and did not greet, smile, or welcome any of the customers. There were three people before me, and she was dry and rude to each one. She was snatching the white carry-out bags, digging into the bagels (onion, garlic, and everything), throwing them into the bags, setting them on the counter, and then turning to the next person to repeat the process.
