I had to wait over two hours and fill out paperwork only to be told by Dr. Barrie, "I can't help you.' 'Come back when that thing is infected and inflamed!" I am very disappointed in the health care system in the US. Veterans should be a priority not treated like a burden. A nurse even turned the computer off and claimed the system was down. Dr. Barrie was very rude. She said I didn't have to check out... meaning they never put me in the system.
Dr. Barrie has done multiple surgeries on me. All have been to the best of her ability or an doctors I feel. I have chronic RA and will be honest when I first met her I wasn’t to fond of her, but it’s not intentional. She really cares about her patients. I can’t stress enough how good of a surgeon she is. So yes if you need some one to I don’t want to say baby u bc that’s not right but be overly kind she not. She professional, tells it like it is ,and know her stuff! Me personally I love her
Extremely poor attention to patient care. Constantly rushing in & out of room juggling other patients. I chose not to continue w/ her and found a great surgeon in Raleigh. She is so rushed and somewhat rude I vowed not to return. Explore your options before choosing a surgeon.
Very rude and extremely poor bedside manner. Problems from scheduling forward. I had a referral, and the scheduling staff wouldn't return my calls for two days. I finally stopped by the office to schedule appointment, and then they still put me off another month for an injury that needed attention. When I finally was seen, I had to wait forever in the waiting room, and over an hour later, when she finally saw me, she was in and out of the room in under two minutes. Follow-up was just as bad.
Rude, poor patient care, poor bedside manner. More worried about moving onto the next patient. She did my carpal tunnel surgery and was completely annoyed that I asked to speak with her after the surgery! Now I understand why she has bad reviews. Highly disappointed.
Dr Barrie is very professional and courteous. She explained everything regarding my surgery in detail. It was my 1st surgery ever so I was nervous but she assured me that I would be fine. Her staff is eqully as fantastic! My surgery was quick and I am now recovering. I would definitely recommend Dr Barrie for hand wrist and/or elbow surgery.
