I went to the Barrhead emergency and had a wonderful experience! The nurses were quick but compassionate the doctor was kind and helpful. The X Ray technician was kind and efficient. They were very busy today but still provided great care.

My wife urgently needs care and no one seems to be taking it seriously. We need tests done to see if it's cancer, organ failure, allergic reaction, EDS, SIBO, gastroperesis, etc, the doctor was unwilling to even examine her without a referral. Family doctors just say it's a diet issue and get us out the door as soon as possible. If that same doctor has the authority to give a referral at his clinic location, you'd think he'd have the same authority to give a referral at the hospital. Nope, apparently not. Absolutely horrible service, have had many people pass away due to negligence, they do not have your interest at heart please if you can go to a different hospital, do not bring your loved ones here.

Had to take our father here due to a blood infection. Was told by the doctor he had to come for an iv of antibiotics every 12 hrs. Wait times for your appointment ranged from 2hrs to 1 hrs after checking into triage. When asked nurse how long wait will be she was extremely rude stating the hospital is not an iv clinic and said she had an emergency. She was chatting with another nurse in the hall way off topic about anything to do with health care. Keep you posted on next trip. Go to stoney plain or anywhere else's.
