My mom and I broke down near Richland because of transmission issues, we got towed to Barrett’s with no transportation and no place to stay. These are the kindest and most generous people I have ever met- not only did they make sure we had a safe place to stay the night, they also had a loaner car to drive up to the nearest big town where we could rent a car while our van was being fixed. These are good people.
I’m originally from San Francisco and this is the legendary Southern Hospitality they tell you about. After AAA mislead me for over three hours saying they had a tow truck driver on the way, the ETA came and went. When I got someone on the phone, they admitted they never dispatched anyone and had doubts they would be able to. As someone from southern WI I didn't know red clay roads existed until 9pm on mothers day. (thanks GPS 😒) We slid off the road and into a ditch we couldn't get out of. After several phone calls with no answer, 1 who did answer but I think was a scam 🫣, and several who couldn't get there that night or weren't close to the area, we finally got a hold of someone from Barrett's!
