Dr. Barrett was my mother's neurologist treating her Huntington's Disease. When I felt it was the time for me to be tested, he made certain I was mentally and emotionally ready for the outcome. Making sure I saw a psychiatrist prior to testing. By the grace of God my testing was negative, but a decade later having lost 2 more siblings and the last one still living with the disease, I am eternally grateful for his tender care!

My sister has lissencephaly pachygyria. Because such, she has many seizures. He continually prescribed her the same medication for years. We already miss Dr. Barrett, he was the best Neurologist my husband has ever seen, he was caring about his patients, listened and gave us his honest opinions, advise, and care. He thoroughly examines his patients and explains every little detail to where a patient understands. What I loved about him, was that when I would call him with concerns about any question concerning my husband's care, Dr. Barrett never failed to call me back as soon as he could; it was in that same day of my call. Dr Barrett was incredibly thorough, thoughtful and willing to listen to my 25+ years of medical history, my concerns and wish for teamwork for the way ahead. He spent 90 minutes and carefully chose a path toward a diagnosis and explained his reasoning rather than just throwing out pharmacological choices to medicate what may not serve to be a true solution. I recommend Dr. Barrett and his supporting staff of RN, Gil... they are professional and competent care givers on all levels!
