She is a crazy person. 4 star is anonymous cause it’s her. She is broke and after your money. She cuts corners and all her patients are perio- it’s a scam. Don’t let her do perio work on you, she will give you gum problems by destroying your gums! She has been sued multiple times. If she makes a mess, she stops working on you and vacuums. Lol she’s really a wacko!

OMG- I loved this dentist! This dentist and her hygienst Rachel were so professional and kind! The office is immaculate too! My friend had gone to a nearby clinic whose dentist told her she needed a root canal on a tooth that had a cavity in it and she went to Dr. Barra for a second opinion. Dr. Barra did a pulp cap and prevented a root canal and charged my friend only $200 for everything because she was a student and on her own! She's HORRIBLE! Deserves no stars. She's unprofessional, she swears in front of patients, she bashes her patients. I've listened to her say she's being sued on more than one occasion. She takes calls in the middle of doing a root canal. The tools she uses are contaminated as she goes from one patient to the next and doesn't change her gloves unless you remind her. I took my 2 children here, and I loved the environment, and loved the dentist. She knows how to keep a 4 and 7 year old calm and relaxed in the chair. I had an almost no wait what so ever, I was in and out of there within an hour (30 minute cleaning per child).

Wife went to this office had to wait an hour. Missed cavities after x rays were taken. Four terrible needles left her face numb. A terible experience I would never recommend her. Go to a professional who has their act together.

This is one of the best dentists I have ever come across. The office is absolutely charming and the staff so friendly and knowledgable. I commented to the staff upon my initial visit about the fact there had been a few negative (downright hateful?) comments out there about Dr. Barra on the internet, and yet, when I visited the practice- the office, Dr. Barra and her staff were completely the opposite of the few things I had read. I was new to the Albany and Cohoes area, and was recommended to Dr. Barra's office by a friend and I have to say I have nothing but good things to say about her and the office. She was very nice, treated a cavity or two of mine, and gave me a lot of great advice to maintain my dental health for the future. It is a small, one doctor dental practice with multiple assistants. It is very homey and welcoming. I am 5 year Army AD

I went in as an emergency based patient and hoped to continue treatment with her , and quickly realized i did not want to.. I waited for an hour and a half... i had an appt!! when i was seated i had to continue my wait because some patients are apparently more important.. (if she didn't socialize so much with her "buddies" she'd be more efficent) i found that she was arrogant and stressed out.. perhaps she should have a less stressful profession if she feels overwhelmed.. i'd bet she has a high staff turnover, they seemed al... read more

Dentist makes you wait for sometimes over an hour and "pushes" treatment on you when she knows you a. dont want it or b. can't afford it
